How Sweet

Monkey Business

Okay, so where do I start. I will go ahead an apologize. I am about to get on my high horse. On Tuesday I took Ty and Griff to a new place in Lexington for kids called Monkey Business. It his an indoor fair for kids complete with rides, games, inflatables and even a live monkey. Needless to say Ty had a great time (I forgot the battery to my camera. I could cry!). Any way, so Ty rode one of the rides. The first time he rode it I asked should I ride with him and they said no, he would be fine. Well he did great. He held on tight and smiled the whole time. Later in the morning he wanted to ride it again, so with out hesitation I let him get back on the ride. I was right outside the gate with Griff. Well this time he got a little more brave and decided to let go and hold on in a different place, look around etc. All of which where making me nervous. The employee running the ride could tell I was nervous so she stopped the ride (it had been going for several minutes and this is not a formal place. If you want to ride you just ask and they turn it on and when you want to stop, they stop). Well there was another mom who I had noticed earlier. She had her toddler and is pregnant with her second. Let's just call her "Mom of the Year". She is Mom of the Year because she rode the ride with her toddler and made sure he held on correctly. As she got off the ride she said to the employee, who I was apologizing to, "his mommy should have ridden with him" in her snide voice. Did I mention I was standing right there! Are you serious, did she just say that?!?!?! For all you mom's out there you know you don't tell other mom's how to do their job much less someone you don't know!! I so would have ridden with Ty if I felt like I needed to and maybe I did. He did so well the first time and he is going through an independent stage where he wants to do it all by himself. Not to mention I am now a mother of 2 and you can be 2 places at one time. Sweet little "Mom of the Year" has another thing coming when baby number two comes. To top it off she was perfectly pregnant. In her cute jeans, with her tight shirt and probably only gain 10lbs and is due next week. WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe "Mom of the Year" will some how read this and learn to keep her comments to herself! Not to mention she has another thing coming when baby #2 arrives! UGH, I got it out, I feel lots better, should have blogged sooner!

Back to the Lake

We headed back to Lake Hartwell (what is left of it) to visit Poop and Mamee. It was just what the doctor ordered for a girl who had her last birthday of her 20's! BOO!!!!!!!! We played outside and got lots of rest. Ty rode in Poops tractor (aka riding lawn mower), helped Poop lay pine straw, and explored the yard with BoBo and RiRi. He had a blast!!

Trip to the Mall

Last week I met Micah and Tucker at the mall, so Micah could get her haircut in peace. I had the 3 boys for about an hour. They did great! They let me actually do a little shopping/looking. I fed them cookies and attempted to take them on the carousel. Oh but wait, no infants on the carousel. After Ty and Tucker are already on and picking out their horse the lady makes us get off because I have Griff strapped to me. I obviously didn't read the rules, she says. Tell those rules to 2 toddlers who want to ride!!!!!!!! Fortunately Micah got there shortly after our incident with the carousel Nazi and the boys got to ride with out having a melt down!

My 2 handfuls!
Getting to finally ride
Waiting very patiently
TheirDad's love when they do this!

In Honor of Micah and Baby Mattox

Last Thursday we had dinner at California Dreaming to honor Micah and Baby Mattox. It was great to get together with all the girls. We are very fortunate to have such a great circle of friends. We hope Micah had a nice time and we can't believe that Mattox will be here any time now. I can't wait to meet him. It has been such a joy sharing motherhood with Micah and this time we got to share being pregnant together. Tucker and Ty are 9.5 months apart and Griff and Mattox will only be 3 months apart. We will have lots of fun with 4 boys 2 and under!!!

Very Eventful Weekend

Where do I begin. Thursday night we ate pizza and experienced Karaoke in Chapin. We went with our friends Mike and Courtney and Mike's sister and her children. Ty and Ryan are only a few months apart and had good time dancing to the music and playing.
On Friday we headed to Beaufort to visit Meme and Papa (Mac's grandparents) . It was so wonderful to see them and we all had a great time. Ty got to do all kind of fun things. He went to Sonic with Pop, Doc and Dada to get tater tots and coke in Pop's new convertible! He drove the golf cart, saw lots of air planes and deer. He was in Heaven!
On Saturday Evening we came home and all went to bed early, so we could rest for a our big day Sunday. Sunday we went to get Micah and Tucker on the boat and let the boys play at Sandy Beach. They played in the sand, swam and we ate lunch on the boat. Then it was time to go home to take a nap, so we could go see our friends The Richie's.
The Richie's were in town from Nashville. They are high school and college friends who we are very close too! We went to Brian's mom's house for dinner, swimming and lots of fun. Brian and Besty have Elizabeth who will be 4 in October and Emily who is 2 weeks older than Ty. The kids had a great time. Big sister Elizabeth played so hard she was asleep by 7:30. Emily and Ty played great together. We miss the Richie's and wished they lived closer.
Hope you enjoy the pictures from all the fun we had. We had so much fun I am still recovering and catching up.

Is there anything he doesn't get into??

Is there anything he doesn't get into?!?!?

Coloring on the floor. He thinks he is hiding...

He cllimbs all the way up the changing table (Griff's changing table that is!)

I did have the laundry divided into lights and darks. Did is the key word...

He loves to put toliet paper in the toliet and flush. OVER AND OVER!!

That would be my address stamp (on the windows as well). Good think we cleaned it up before Dada got home.
