What we have really been up to...

So..... I would much rather be posting Ty's Birthday pictures and Griff's turning 9 months yesterday. However, this is what we have been doing this week

Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is such a trooper!!!!
On Tuesday evening while daddy was on the other side of town having dinner with his boss, (did I mention every time daddy is with his boss something crazy happens) Ty tripped on our back porch and fell straight into a metal/iron chair! He looked up at me and took his hand off his face and had a nice gash. So off to urgent care we went! Luckily Mac was able to meet us there. 4 hours and 5 stitches later we got to come home. Ty did really well, but getting the actual stitches was pretty traumatic for both of us. Mac took Griff home, so it was just Ty and I. Unfortunately the Doctor that put his stitches in was terrible and that didn't help. On the way home Ty said, "Mommy Ty sad." "I cried berry (very) hard." "Big Boo Boo, Ouch!" "Mommy are you sad?" I said, "Oh yes Ty , mommy is very sad." Ty said, "Mommy, daddy be sad when we get home". "Oh yes, he will be very sad", I said. He just broke my heart! Wednesday morning he was bouncing off the walls as usual. He is so much stronger than I am. I know this is the first of many more to come. I love having boys, but don't look forward to all the accidents they are prone to have!

Double Trouble

Ty and Griff are actually playing a little together. It is a lot of fun to watch them interact and actually play together. Most of the time Ty is a little too rough, but there are some rare moments where they play together. However, their version of play is taking everything out of where it belongs. Ty is starting to learn to clean up, but once again it is his own version of cleaning up. Here are a few of the places they like to "play".

This is Griff's room. The green containers hold, diapers, burp clothes, toys, books, wash cloths etc. They should be on the shelves....
This is their bookcase....

Oh, and this would be everything from the bottom 3 shelves in the pantry! (I was loading the dishwasher and thought it was awful quiet.)

2 Days in a Row

On Wednesday Ty followed suite and opted to fall asleep in the floor at nap time. Fortunately, he has gotten in his bed the rest of the week. Today he even asked to get in his bed and went right to sleep! (Probably helped that he spent that night with Pop and Mommo last night and got lots of attention and played hard. Thank you Mommo and Pop!) He really is doing so well with his big boy bed.

Big Boy Bed

We converted Ty's crib to a toddler bed. It has been about 2 weeks and for the most part he has done really well. A few times he gets in and out and I have to put the baby gate up. Today is one of those days. Usually he goes and gets in his bed but today he just kept standing at the gate. I just went to check on him and this is what I found.

My Converstaion with Ty

It amazes me every day how Ty's vocabulary has expanded in such a short time. Since he turned 15 months it is new words, sentences and songs every day. It is such a cool experience to watch them learn to express their thoughts and feeling and to see how they view the world. Lately we have had many interesting and fun conversations. The conversation that went down today is still making me laugh so I thought I would share it with you. It doesn't highlight his vocabulary, but is just to funny not to share.

Picture this, Ty is at the sliding glass door letting the dogs in and out, in and out a 100 times. I am getting supper ready near the sink. I hear him say "Oh Crap!" I ignore him trying not to draw attention to the phrase that he shouldn't be saying! I then hear him say "Oh gosh, I just said Oh Crap!" I literally have to bend down behind the sink so he can't see/hear me die laughing.. A few minutes later he comes into the kitchen and is playing while I get his dinner on the table. He drops something and again says "Oh crap" I this point I realize I need to correct him.

I say: "Ty we don't say Oh crap. We can say, Oh gosh, or Oh man"
Ty says: "Yes we can!"
I say: "No Ty we should not say that"
Ty says: "Yes we can, Daddy says, Oh Crap"
(I am thinking, Thank you Daddy!! Who isn't home yet, to help me with this situation.)
I say: "Ty Daddy has to go to his room and get a spanking when he gets home for saying Oh crap." "He is not supposed to say that"
Ty says "Oh, Daddy go to his room when he gets home!"

He then goes about his business and luckily takes my answer. Many times he says why, why???

And yes we sent Daddy to his room when he got home....

On another note we have lots of pictures to share from Ty's Birthday Party and our trip to see Playhouse Disney show! I will work on new post this week.
