Isle of Palms again!!

Our dear friends (There is No Place Like Home) invited us back to the beach. This time it was my 30th Birthday! As usual we had a great time. Got to celebrate my birthday with my best friends and enjoy our children being together. I won't lie it is a little hectic, but one day we will look back and be so thankful we did it!! Thank you again Sarah!!!!!!!

1st Day of School

The boys started school the first week in September. These pictures will fool you though. Griff looks as though he is ready and Ty is telling me I am not going. The truth... Ty LOVES school and gives me no trouble. My Griffers misses his mommy and cries as soon as we pull in the parking lot and doesn't stop until I come back to get him. His poor teachers. I feel terrible, but I know it will get better. On Tuesday his teachers assured me he didn't cry the whole time. I really haven't left him much, so he needs this.. At least that is what I keep telling my self. Luckily Griff's teachers were Ty's last year, so I know them well and they are so sweet. Ty's new teachers are great. He loves them. He goes to music on Thursday. Lots of the little girls from MMO are in his class, but almost all the boys are new. He got to be the line leader this week and thought that was great. He is growing up so fast. It is so fun to watch him, but so sad at how fast it is happened. He is a little Chatty Cathy like his mommy!

Summer Fun

Okay, so I am way behind on posting. Here some pictures from this summer. As soon as I catch up on summer I have 500 pictures on my camera from September. Maybe I will have those posted by Christmas. LOL!! Any way, I hope everyone had a great summer. We sure did and we can't believe it is over.

Our favorite thing to do is play out side. On this day we took Ty's new scooter to the playground to play. (More on the scooter below!)

Visiting with Mommo, Pop, Joe, Paige and Clay
Eating some Ice Cream with Pop-yummy!
Dancing with Joe
Kissing Baby Joseph in Paige's Belly
My Sweet Boys snoozing in mommy's bed when Daddy was out of town..

Did I mention my Big Boy is Potty Trained. We worked on it all summer and he is doing AWESOME! I won't lie we still have accidents, but for a 2.5 year old he is doing great. He wears big boy undies all day and maybe has an accident every other day or so. Usually when he doesn't want to stop playing!

Griff trying on Ty's new Scooter gear....

Ty's new scooter gear
The Scooter (There is a long story behind this scooter). We have new neighbors. 2 little boys who are 4 and 6. They are so sweet and Ty loves to play with them every day! They both have scooters. We'll Ty was dying for a scooter so he could be like the big boys. So we talked up the scooter and said if he gave up his paci he could have a scooter. So he did, he very willing gave it up and gladly took his scooter. Well.......... He didn't really cry much for his paci, but instead boycotted sleeping. He wouldn't nap and it was after 9 every night before he went to bed. During nap time little brother wouldn't nap either because he could hear big brother. This went on for over 2 weeks and mommy couldn't handle 2 babies who didn't nap. Can we say cranky mommy and cranky babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I did the unthinkable and gave the paci back. I know go ahead and GASP!!!!!!!! He only gets it back at nap and night time and he does great with that. Everyone is napping again and everyone is happy at the Harper house. It is ok to judge but I had to do what I had to do. Pick your battles right?!

Our friend Angie had a surprise 30th Birthday Party. Lots of fun!!

This summer some of my friends from high school reconnected. There are several of us that live in the same area. We have decided to get together once a month for dinner. It is a blast. We laugh about old times, share memories, enjoy new memories made, support each other as moms and I look very forward to it every month now. What an amazing circle of friends to have. Several of us have known each other since elementary school. La La's I love you girls! See you next week!!

Mamme and Poop's Other House

In July we went to visit Mamme and Poop at their other house (their house in Atlanta). We went to the Gwinnett Braves game, got Ty's haircut, cooked with Mammee and played outside. Ty was also just in the beginnings of potty training and had his first upset stomach. My parents were out entertaining some of my dad's customers and my brother was home with me. He was such a trooper. Holding Griff while I was with Ty and cleaning up his accidents (enough said!) I have the best brother. Bo I know this is late, but you are the best!

Bo and Griff
This is actually Ty's 3rd haircut. I freak out someone will cut his curls off so he only gets his haircut when we go to my parents. They have this great place close to their house and the same lady has cut it. Lots of women drive 3 hours to get their hair cut, so nothing wrong if Ty does, right?!
Helping Mamme cook
Playing with his bubble machine Liza gave him.
Who is this big boy and where is my baby??

Boat Trip

In July Mac and I actually went on a trip for a whole weekend with our children. This is the first time since Ty was born we have done this! I know you are think are you kidding, but when you are pregnant, nursing, pregnant, nursing and your kids are 15 months apart, it is a little harder than you think. Needless to say we had a great time. My wonderful parents came to our house to keep the boys, so that we didn't have to worry while we were gone. We left on Friday morning and met our dear friends the Bolen's. We then drove to Santee and put their boat in the lake. We road via boat to Charleston. You have to go through a lock in order for your boat to be lowered from lake to the river. It was a very neat experience. Once we got to Charleston we spent the night down town Friday and Saturday night and headed back by boat on Sunday. It was SOOOO much fun!!!!!!! We missed our boys, but it was some much needed adult time. Since we love to be on the water and boat this trip was right up our alley. It was great to spend the weekend with our best friends and enjoy such a cool experience!! Thanks to all who made it happen. Can't wait for next year! Did I mention it was also Mac and I's 7th anniversary!! Love you Mac!!

Ok these pictures are way out of order, but I am so behind on blogging, I just want to get it posted. Sorry!!
We are at the bottom of the lock. They have lowered us down to the river and I am looking up. We entered at the top from the lake. Pretty cool!

All the boats in the lock. Tied up and getting ready to be raised up to the lake. This was on the way back.
On our way home. It is hard to avoid the sun when you are on a boat for over 8 hours!! On the way home we had about all the sun one person could get!

This is on our way home. Waiting to enter the lock. The lake is at the top on the other side of the lock.
The boat rats cleaned up nicely for dinner on Saturday night.
