Thankful Thursday

Just got back from a circle meeting at church and God sent me there for a reason. Our presenter read an article her mother gave her in 1972 from Woman's Day Magazine when her son was 2 years old. Long story short, the author talked about how women are very thankful for their children, husband and home yet we tend to complain (or at least I do) that their house isn't just right, their husband does something to drive them crazy and their kids test their patients to the end. The woman who wrote the article was asking God to help her be more thankful for the things she takes for granite and complains about. I am very thankful for my family, my husband, my babies and my home and I do complain about them too much. It is amazing how 36 years ago women stressed over the same things. I am taking a little time this evening and I hope each day to try to be more thankful for what I have. I am especially thankful for my parents, husband, close friends and my children who when I do complain always help me see the glass half full! I love you all!!!!!!! Happy Thanksgiving a week early.

Joe and Paige's Wedding

Joe and Paige got married last weekend. We had a great time and are just now catching up after a busy 4 day weekend of wedding festivities. My pictures are very random. Mac, Ty and I were all in the wedding. Needless to say my brain was a little scattered and I tried to remember to take pictures when I could. It was a beautiful weekend filled with lots of friends, family and love. We are so happy for Joe and Paige and are blessed to have Paige join the Harper family. The wedding was gorgeous, the bride was stunning, the groom handsome and a good time was had by all. Ty did his best as ring bearer. He was a little shy all weekend and stuck to me like glue, but all things considering he did well for a 20 month old. Thank you to SaSa (my cousin Sara) who came with us all the way from UGA. I don't know what we would have do with out her. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Halloween

Okay, so there a lots of pictures from Halloween. Only in SC is it in the 70's on Halloween and you can spend the entire afternoon outside. We played and carved pumpkin with Daddy. Holiday's are 100 times more exciting with children. I love this time of year because Halloween kicks off the holiday season. Hope you enjoy. Ty wouldn't be still, so I couldn't get many good ones of him, but I tried!

The Bolen Halloween Party

Since all of our friends live scattered through out Columbia, Micah had the great idea to have a Halloween get together for the kids. It was a great way for them to see each other in their costumes. Elmo made a surprise appearance. Some loved Elmo, others not so much. We can't wait for next year.
Is that Elmo we see?!?!?

Why it sure is!

Our Visit to Poop and Mamee's.......

Mac was out of town more in October than he was home, so the boys and I headed to Mamee and Poop's house for over a week. Mac met us at the end of our trip to celebrate my Grandmother's 80th Birthday (now she is also known as HaHa, which is Ty's nickname for her). Mamee and Poop did have to work while we were there, but HaHa was there and Bo came by every night after work to help. The saying it takes a village to raise a child definitely holds true! Poop took a day off and took us all to the Georgia Aquarium. All of those pictures are on my mom's camera, so I will have to post those later. It was such a treat to get to visit with Haha for a week. If I am only has healthy as she is when I am 80 I would be so fortunate. She helped me all day with the boys. Griff is still spoiled from HaHa holding him and Ty boy misses HaHa and her Woof Woof-GiGi! I blessed with an amazing family. Mamee and Poop sorry we got you sick.
