Happy 15 Months!!!

Today Ty is 15 months old. Since today is his 15 month birthday he decided to get up extra early and beg for chocolate milk. So at 7:00 this morning he was relaxing in his chair drinking his chocolate milk out of his CLEMSON Tiger Paw Straw!!! Go Tigers.

The rest are pictures from our adventures this week. We have of course been in the pool and even played so hard we went Night Night on our slide. I caught Ty the Lizard that lives on our porch. We could only play with it for a moment because the dogs wanted to eat the poor Lizard. The last picture is of him telling me he is 1.

Grammy and Poop are here for a few days, so look for some pictures to come of Ty playing with his Grammy and Poop (Yes Ty calls him Poop!) Happy Memorial Day!!!

Water Baby

Now that the warm weather has arrived, Ty is turning into a water baby. He swims in his pool almost every day and he wants to go on the BOAT every time Dada is home. He is also taking swimming lessons and each lessons does better and better. The first two pictures are of him playing on the deck and blowing bubbles in his pool (yes he has his crocks on). The next few are of swimming lessons. This weekend we went on the boat Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday we met his buddy Tucker and they had a great time playing on the boat. The seats on our boat are being recovered right now, so the boat is like a huge play pin for Ty. He thinks it is great. He was so tired on Sunday he fell asleep on the ride home and we laid him straight down in his crib still in his bathing suit. Ty's Great Aunt Becky and cousin Leslie stopped by and spent the night on Saturday on their way to visit colleges. We had a great time seeing them and are so glad they stopped by. Ty had lots of fun showing them all of his tricks and by the time they were leaving he could say Leslie and Becky. Maybe Leslie will go to school in SC and we can see her more!

PS Only 3 weeks and 2 days until Griff makes his arrival. I am about to pop and I'm having a serious craving for ice cream (Mayfield Birthday Cake, which I could barely wait to eat on the way home from the grocery store. If I had a spoon or anything close to it in my car, I would have eaten it on the 5 minunte ride home from Bilo!!!!)

Tucker's 2nd Birthday Party

Yesterday, Ty's best buddy, Tucker turned 2 and we went to his house for pizza, cake and LOTS of Fun. I am attaching some pictures from his party. Tucker was very gracious and shared his new birthday toys with Ty and even his chair while he opened presents. Tucker got a John Deer Tractor which was a huge hit as was the jump castle.

I am also attaching a few pictures of Ty playing this week. He really discovered the slide in his pool today and loved it. He also pulled 2 rolls of wrapping paper out that I had shoved in the pantry when a realtor called to look at the house. I can only get him to drink milk if I put it in something other than his normal sippy cup. The last picture is of him sharing his milk with Junior.

It only took 14 months

As many of you, we are blessed with a happy, healthy baby boy and we enjoy every minute with him, but his sleeping habits are subpar. In order for him to sleep through the night it requires lots of reading books and rocking, only for him to end up in our bed. Yes, I said our bed. Every parents say "my child will not sleep in our bed" and yes we said it too. However, the sleep deprivation sinks in (and in my case you get pregnant again...) and you do anything to get some sleep. We tired everything even crying it out. After nights and hours of crying neither Mac nor I were strong enough to continue. As of Saturday night (I know it is only Monday) our child has slept in his own crib through the whole night!!!!!!!!!!! He wakes up once and Mac goes in to rock him for just a few minutes and then he makes it the rest of the night. It is amazing how much better we all sleep. Keep your fingers crossed he continues this pattern. Now if the dogs would just sleep in their beds....

Thought while I was blogging I would post a few pictures of a day in the life of Ty. They are from the last few weeks. He enjoys getting into my clothes, as well as Mac's, talking on the phone, playing in his new pool, and climbing on everything including the chair to get to his breakfast.

Our First Blog

Today is Mother's Day and I am finally posting my first blog. I feel like I have been working on this for months. Well I have, however I was determined that by this weekend I would have our blog up and running. So, here it goes:

Ty is 14 months old and in 4 weeks Griffith (Griff) Lee will be here. I hope this is a way our family and friends can watch our precious children grow. Time has flown by and I can't believe Ty is 14 months and that Griff is almost here. We have been very busy lately. We just got back from the beach with some of our best friends The Bolen's. They have a little boy, Tucker who is about 9 months older than Ty. We all had a blast. The boys had a so much playing and it was such a joy to watch them enjoy and explore the beach. We look forward to doing it again next year. The exciting thing about next year is that there will be 2 new baby boys. The Bolen's are also expecting their second boy who will only be 3 months younger than Griff! This weekend we had Landon's first birthday. Landon is the son of Danielle and Tony. Danielle was my maid of honor when I got married and one of my best friends from Clemson. Ty had so much fun. Danielle had a pool and a jump castle. It was heaven for little boys. Lastly today is Mother's Day. My boys let me sleep in (which was wonderful since I don't get much sleep these days since I am so big I could pop!) They also fixed me breakfast. Ty helped me eat my strawberries and then when I looked the other way he proceeded to dump my eggs, grits and blueberry muffin on the floor which Junior and Riley loved! I had a wonderful day with Mac, Ty and even the dogs. We finished the day enjoying dinner with Mac's mom, dad and brother. Now here I am blabbing way too much... Hope you enjoy the pics from our busy week.
Until next time....
